Ink Stains

I have found that Oxy Clean (powder) works like magic on ink stains. Oxy clean is not so effective on other stains, but it eradicates ink just like using an eraser on pencil. I got out an ink stain that was over 10 years old. I simply made a paste out of the Oxy Clean and rubbed it on with my finger. It vanished on contact.

I have heard many people say that Oxy Clean does nothing for their clothes. I agree, some things are just not going to come out with Oxy Clean, but the trick is to follow the soaking instructions. You must soak for 6 hours. Just adding it to the wash is a waste. I find it works best on taking stains out of COLORFAST color clothes- items that you can’t bleach or don’t want to rub for fear of fading in that particular spot. It also is EXCELLENT for removing dinginess from light colors. (Careful with your colors, I have faded some very dark items- but it is fine for lighter and colorfast colors - just do not put too much of it in the water- I made that mistake (plus let it soak way too long) and it ate up my white linen shirt- put holes in it. Overall, it is great...really.... just don't go overboard).
