I have found that using Benadryl Cream works miracles. The tube reads- Extra Strength 2% Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride.
I tried Cortaid before but with little luck. For some reason, Benadryl Cream prevents not only the after shave itch but razor bumps.
You must apply it immediately after shaving while pores are still open (after only lightly patting dry). I think that this is a very important step. Then, follow up for a few days by applying immediately after bathing, while pores are still open.
I have really sensitive skin so, I think if it works for me, it should work for most. I am curious to know- so tell me if you have any luck.
